I went to see John today so he could install some spikes in the RK-35 I just bought. He also adjusted the tailpiece and buffed out my frets. He also gave my Hatfield Buckcreek the once over to make sure it was in good shape. Then he played both of the banjos. The Buckcreek sounded very warm with a very big bottom end. The RK-35 was a powerhouse. It had all of the volume you could ever want or need. It has the maple crack that will cut through anything. It didn't lose the power or volume up the neck. Also, it has great sustain that made it sound wonderful on slow songs. John demonstrated that any kind of music can be played on the banjo and that I really need more practice. I'll get back to playing now. I'll try to post a video or soundclip tomorrow. I should have just shot a quick video of John playing (maybe next time). I guess you'll have to take my word for it. Needless to say, I am extremely happy with my two banjos! Thanks John!
