One of the biggest things I have noticed in banjo, especially bluegrass banjo, is the lack of velocity. It seems as if all of the notes are the exact same and there is just no variation in the tune itself in how loudly the notes are played. I mean don't get me wrong, the traditional way is a very interesting way to play the instrument, but I personally think that it would do so much good to add a little variation in the volume of the notes. I was wondering what all of my fellow banjo heads thought about this particular subject, and if you use it personally. God bless, Tyler.
