Big news on Bluegrass Today about the restart of the Bill Monroe biopic!
Tim Blake Nelson (Delmar from O Brother) and Ed Helms (from The Office) will play Lester & Earl! BRILLIANT! I bet they'll be VERY convincing!
John C. Reilly as Charlie Monroe! Yes! Sam Shepard as Uncle Pen!! YES!
I don't know anything about the fella playing Monroe, or the lady playing Bessie. Ashley Judd will play Carolyn Monroe.
The sound track, of course, is already complete, with Nashvile's finest working for T Bone Burnett. Del sing Monroe, Ronnie sings Charlie, etc. Earl did some of the sound track too I understand.
