I'm slowly digging up these old jam recordings from last year and will post several one at a time, over the next few days that I've never shared here before. This was recorded sometime between early March and late April 2011 on a Zoom digital recorder. I'm just now getting around to sharing a few more interesting jam gems.
This is an interesting take on the common bluegrass tune. We're playing in the key of Bb, and I was throwing in some interesting melodic stuff on the fly, which worked pretty well. You don't hear this on this tune very much. This is me picking on my Nechville Athena and singing harmony, and Tyler is picking his Santa Cruz dreadnought and singling lead vocal. My Nechville has all sorts of weird overtones that I hear in the key of Bb, something I'll try to tweak out of it someday...
I had not heard from Tyler in months and months, and he contacted me the other day. I think he has put the guitar down for a while. I hope he can find his way back to music, he is too talented to just let it go to waste, IMO. Oh well, So It Goes.
Enjoy.
