This is the last in a series of home recordings I've been posting, of my band working up tunes ... this song by Doyle Lawson, recorded in March 2011 at (now defunct) band practice.
The lineup is: Me (on my custom top-tension banjo) and harmony vocal, Shane Lail on guitar and harmony vocal, Keith Cole on upright bass, David Heavner on mandolin and singing lead vocal, and George Giddons on fiddle. Recorded on a cheap digital voice recorder, so it's a tad hot. The baritone part I'm singing is near the upper limits of my range but I hit it anyway LOL.
At the end of the recording you can hear us working up on-the-fly, how it should end. This is another cool snapshot of the organic process of how tunes are worked up in a band.
Enjoy.
