Bridge or head adjustment?

New to banjos, I've had it less than 24 hours.  When I look down the strings from  the head to the neck my bridge is curved, depresses the head and is high in the first string side.  This causes the string to be much higher than the others.  When I strum it always gets over-plucked.  Should I get a new bridge?  Tighten the head?  It is a used banjo, the head looks new.
