Taking guests to church luncheon..the Handsome Stranger and daughter

Okay. I invited them over lunch the other day. They both accepted instantly. Handsome Stranger eager to meet our friends and have lunch with all of us.

I don't know the menu. I hope it's not fried, and something he will eat. I love the ladies cooking at church. Each meal is a feast. I have very few foods that I dislike or won't eat, but others are sometimes more picky.

Daughter left message that they would rondevous here at my cabin early. I need to change that and have them meet over at the church. It's is difficult at best to get going around here. With an invalid, there is more to do than if he were healthy. I make sure he's okay and dressed and ready, and he's like molasses running uphill in freezing weather. It takes time and attention.

I am a double-checker, too. Make sure the dogs are comfortable, things turned off, and cabin ready to be left. It's rare that I can just take my purse and coat and walk out the door.

With them here, it makes it more difficult to organize. Not a good time to be visiting when that could be done better over the meal at church at the table with friends. I can relax then.

Hope this goes well. It's new for him, and new for us to have them as guests...well, him...she has gone multiple times with us. Usually meets us over there.

The ladies should get a kick out of this guy. I am sort of interested in seeing their opinions...and what. I think the guys will like him also, but our men friends over there are jokers and tease and laugh and carry on big time.

This should prove interesting. I am somewhat nervous, tho. Leave it to me to be nervous.

  Nancy
