I have been experiencing partial melody and chord loss in some songs for the past 6 or 8 weeks now. I'm guessing that there is a medical reason and not simply a bad run of luck. There is no logical reason to forget how to play melody and chords of songs I learned years ago and can play through forwards and backwards and at breakneck speeds.
I have tried some suggestions to break down the chords and melody notes, but it hasn't worked. I hope the doc can link this to lead poisoning or something logical. Just forgetting how doesn't cut it with me.
My memory isn't the problem. There are electrical impulses in my brain that are not firing That is my prognosis. I simply will not repeat the last six years to relearn songs I have played countless times.
I'll post up what the doc suggests. I'm going to hand him my sheet music for Cripple Creek and explain to him I don't recognize what any of this is. Wish me luck!
