Hello all,
I recently acquired a copy of an old Stanley Brothers King Records box set, and some of the songs in that set are definitely from the golden age of when Ralph and Carter were in their prime.
One of the neatest sounding instrumentals on there is an instrumental I believe with George Shuffler doing some guitar work, and Ralph having one cool break on "Snow Deer".
I've wanted to figure this one out to have something new to play in the Stanley style way of picking, and I really, really would like to try "Snow Deer". One person I'd like to hear this tune from though is James Alan Shelton. If I saw him do this number, I would be in awe.
I would really appreciate some help on this, and I will be going to see Ralph in April this year, plus, I am going to have Jarrod Church sign my banjo, and hopefully I would like to get the chance to talk with James.
I miss Steve Sparkman quite a bit, and no one can really top him on the Stanley style picking. (Other than Ralph).
Thank you all very much.
