About 20 years ago I took about 4 months of lessons and quit playing. Now I have more time I can dedicate and have been thinking about playing again. A friend of mine (does not play)bought a banjo ($200, thinks he got a good deal) and he said I can buy it for what he payed for it. Its a Cortley which I have never heard of. However from what I can tell it plays and chords very well. It also has a decent sound. Its defiently not a terrible banjo and has a decent tone. Any wonder if I can get your alls input. I'm sure its as Asian import but I figure it would be good to relearn on and not have a lot invested and later I can move up if I need to. Oh to me seems like the bridge is bowed somewhat in the middle however they are no buzzing. Also should the head be replaced with that much wear. Thanks
