Hey guys. I've been playing only 6 months now - I know 5 basic chords, and several rolls. As a former guitar player, I could easily join a jam session and keep up by simply strumming and doing a very few riffs. I have never done any "breaks".
Is there an equivalant to strumming on the banjo? I simply don't have the chops to do breakdowns and wish to be able to join in - but I don't want to mess up everyone in the group! Any tips and tricks would be appreciated. (or if you could point me in the right direction, that would be great too!)
