I was sitting out at the antique fair, ignoring customers and playing my banjo, when a gentleman came up and stood there watching me.
Then he started telling me that he had taken up the banjo, and that I had inspired him. Seems he had a banjo at home, and he thought he was too old to learn. (well he is at least 10 years younger than me!)
But listening to me and talking to me, he was inspired to go home, pick up that banjo and learn to play. He is taking lessons and has a bad case of BAS,
It made me feel so good.
Too many people are intimidated by learning something new at any age, when they really want to do something. They owe it to themselves to at least try and realize that they don't have to be perfect, just enjoy what they are doing.
