Hey BHO dudes!  Hope all are having a good start to 2012!

Got myself a Masterclone about a month ago, and have had an annoying short duration metallic 'twang' when picking the 5th!  Tried a number of things to fix it, and today I think I've got it licked.  Got out my magnifier headband thingie and took a close look at how the string fit into the groove in the bridge.  Looked to me that the groove was not filed correctly, and that the string was 'breaking' over the back edge of the groove towards the tailpiece, and was therefore buzzing very slightly on the front edge of the groove, towards the fingerboard.  Hmmm. What to do?  I looked around for my set of torch tip cleaners, that were nowhere to be found.  No other appropriate files to be found either.  Then I had a minor ephiphany!  Dug around in the guitar case, found a .032 wound string, which seemed to be the closest to the size of the notch in the bridge, grabbed it by the Super Bullet (happened to be a Fender) and about 2" further down and after de-tuning and lifting the 5th string from the notch,  used the.032 like a flexible round file to sand down the tailpiece side of the notch, and polish up the groove.  Retuned the 5th string, and voila, the twang was gone.  I may be passing on something that is old hat to most of you, but if not, a wound string works real well to remove minor blemishes/bad angles in a bridge, and would probably polish up a less than perfect nut as well.  If there were anything major, probably an appropriate file would be best first, then just polish with the wound string.  Anyway, it worked for me!

The bridge in question has no discernable markings on it, and I would hope that someone on the BHO might be able to identify it for me.  I'd like to post a picture of it, but don't know how.  |Can't seem to find any instructions.  I'm probably missing something obvious, but could someone point me in the right direxction??
