I am having an issue with the Scruggs Single String part on Pike County Breakdown around the 2&3 frets on the 1st string. I usually try to play this with my Thumb and Index but sometimes my Middle finger starts to creep in there or vice versa. I think it is because I have always played my 1st string with middle finger before but never did single string work before. My thumb seems to handle it just fine.
What are other people using to play Single string stuff on 1st string? Any hints on training yourself to only use 1 finger or should I try to alternate? like TITM.
