I am just starting to learn how to use a g lick; I'm learning from the Janet Davis You Can Teach yourself Banjo. In her book she starts off the lick using the index finger on the 3rd string.But when I checked out a video on youtube another teacher started the same lick with her thumb. I found the second way better. Which is the best method to use or should i say the coreect way?Or are both methods acceptable.
