Hello all,
It has been a while since I have been posted. Due to obligations to my work I have unfortunately not had much time over the past 4 years to really devote to my clawhammering. The good news is that those obligations have been fufilled and now I will have a lot more time dedicated to my playing and learning. I have come asking for a little help and assistance. I unfortunately live in an area (East Texas) where I do not know any other clawhammer banjo players. I feel that my technique is sloppy I am wanting to start over and get the basics down well before I got and try to learn a bunch of songs. Any recommendations to high quality learning materials, either books or videos? Any exercises to practice daily to get better at left and right hand technique? Is there any one out there with a similar background?
