The Millersburg Ferry...

It was absolutely gorgeous outside today, so we decided on a lark to go out and take a ride as close to the Blue Ridge Mountains as we could get...

On the way, Jackie knew of a diesel-engine, paddleboat-style auto-ferry that still ran across the Susquehanna River...

For only $10, we got to cross the river... it was an adventure...

For some reason, the pilot and first mate kept coming over and talking to me...

Lots of history there...

The river was muddy, and the paddle wheel would engage and do it's thing whenever they wanted go forward...

We had three white toyotas that all wanted to cross at the same time... so off we went, the three cars...

Nobody knew anybody else... 3 small groups of people...

It was a blast... the captain told me to bring my banjo the next time!
