Last night after driving back from NC picking up my mother-in-law to come visit for 3 weeks. We rented a larger vehicle to haul her things.
Me to Hertz Rental Car: We think we left my mother in law's handicap parking pass above the visor in the car we returned can you please check? Very important.
Hertz: Yes sir, please hold (and never return)
Me call back 15 minutes later: Sir it's not there.
Me call back 5 minutes later: You sure? We're positive it's there and REALLY need it, she's elderly and cant walk well
Hertz: No sir I looked myself top to bottom.
Me: Drive to airport 85 mph - 15 minutes
Hertz: Sorry sir car just rented 5 minutes ago
Me: I'll give you $50, no questions asked
Hertz: Let me check one more time, (now jumping like a fresh Marine in basic)
Hertz 2 minutes later: Here it is (smiling broadly holding pass)
Me: You stay right ther while I go to the ATM and get your reward
Me: Get in car and go home.
Damn shame that I had to stoop to this but old age and treachery again prevail! ![evil]( "evil")
