Howdy y'all,
I'm fairly new to the banjo, only been messin' with it about a month. Maybe a little more. I've been playin' music of all kinds though since I was about Six, so many years. The banjo I have is a Fender FB-54, not the best, I realize that but, it's what I've got for the time being. The problem I'm having it is kinda sounds off when I play open notes on the Low D and G. I've moved my bridge around a tad and kinda improved the sound some, but is there a different bridge I can get for it that would really help improve the sound? If any place was gonna have the answer, I figured this would be it. Again, I appreciate all the help. :) If anyone else has any other ideas (aside from "buy a new banjo") that will help improve the sound, I'm all ears
