Hi Forum.
I recently bought a VegaVox I banjo on eBay. I wanted to replace the head with a fiberskyn so i took off the head that was on it, measured the diameter in several different places, even measured the circumference and divided by pi, and the diameter i came out with was 11 3/8". I special ordered that, and a few weeks later it finally arrived, and guess what, it's too big! The metal rim of banjo head that was originally on the vegavox seems to even fit perfectly inside the new banjo head, leading me to believe that i was supposed to measure the diameter of the inside of the metal rim, not the outside. after all the stuff i read about measuring your banjo head online, i don't recall seeing that. anyways, i was wondering if anyone knows if VegaVox's have a standard size banjo head. any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
