Working with a gospel bluegrass group that travels extensively (regionally, nationally, and sometimes internationally). I learned long ago to get a good case for my fiddle/mandolin and got a Calton case which I have not regretted.
Just got a Gibson Scruggs Deluxe with original case. I love the Gibson case but something in me hates to get it beat up. Any suggestions other than Calton (now have to order through Workhorse in Canada)? I keep reading about TKL cases. They look similar to my Martin HD28's case. I really like a very light colored case because of outside venues and the sun beating down on them. The TKL looks good but it is black like the Gibson....Please give some suggestions from those of you who play out a lot and have equipment going in and out of buses/trailers all the time. God Bless!
