Treasure Hunters- Metal Detectors Advice

For any in the know hunters, I've owned a Garrett Master Hunter for many years but after the heart attack I find that it's too heavy and hard for me to handle for long periods of time. I love Garrett detectors and they are in Garland close to me. Does anyone have any experience with the GTI 1500? That's about what I'm looking for in all respects but if anyone has one of these or a 2500 I'd be grateful for any feedback. My Doctor says it would be a good thing I enjoy to get exercise and be outside. Along with my walking. He said to take my nitro tabs and a phone. Of course I would. A friend would be best to take along who enjoys metal detecting but a lot of my "friends" have shied away from me due to my brain/memory condition. I love them all and would do anything for them; financially, personal help, a caring ear and my time but most don't want the hassle of my speech or them having to repeat their words to me. I ask for no help. I've always carried my own load but some think I'll need help but I would never burden another man or woman who is trying to take care of their own needs. I could get very lonely is not for God and His word, my Bible. And prayer! I DO love ALL people! I REALLY do! Thank you to all my friends here who care! You are helping me through the tough recovery. Tex
