Sorry for another dumb newb question but here it goes. My B string is in tune but sounds weird. I can't say it is a buzz but it just doesn't sound good. It is more like a dull lifeless sound. What I noticed is that when I push down on the string perpendicular to the top, the string gives much more towards the fretboard than the other strings. The banjo came set up from banjohut with nice taunt strings. Now this one is a lot more flexible. I also replaced the 5th string on Monday and it also doesn't feel as taunt as the strings that came on it. So I am inclined to replace all the strings and start over fresh. When you are stringing the banjo, how do you keep maximum tension on the strings while you are getting them wound on the peg? I don't have a capo so I can't go that route. Any advice would be appreciated.
