Walked into GC and walked out with an Ode 6500 s/n 3-80-55 because it was priced at a price too low to ignore and in excellent shape. It also came with the original case and adjustment tools.
First thing is get rid of the mylar head and 1/2" bridge, this thing peels paint.
This is my first non-Gibson style bluegrass banjo. What is the adjustment in the hole in the heel for and how is it properly used? I saw Stanger's posts of caution because of the brass so out of character, I will ask first....
