I use a Presonus interface and it came with Studio One Artist which works well. I was on the Presonus site and see they have a free version Studio One Free which is worth looking at.. I havent installed it but figure it's probably a step up from Audacity which I also use and is also free. It also has full MIDI suport and some native effects.
