if all works out, i hope to attend a week long banjo camp with Dwight Diller this summer. He recommends bringing a recorder with a lot of recording media. So would one of the new digital style recorders be a good idea for this? i have no clue about any of them, never seen them or used them. Looking for a simple to use, but high quality sound tool. cost wise, i suppose i'd go up to $200 or thereabouts.
I keep hearing about the Zoom 2 in guitar circles, is this such a thing that would work?
on the playback, do you have to wear earphones to hear or can you play these back like an old fashioned cassette recorder?
thanks
