I have a Gold Tone IT-250 open back White Laydie style Irish Tenor which I would like to optimize for sessions. I am not looking a dramatic improvement but maybe sound enhancement would be more appropriate.
I have a piece of birch ply and am thinking of either a disk that is 1/2 inch smaller than the ID of the rim or one about the same size but with 1/2" stand offs. I am looking for a bit more punch. This is my beach banjo but I don't want to permanently modify it and it has to fit in the original case.
Suggestions??
