I was a picky eater as a kid...
Lots of things I wouldn't try...
You could threaten to burn me at the stake and poke out my eyes and let the birds eat me... and I wouldn't try 'new' food...
I just took a bite of a sweet potato...
Never would've done it as a kid...
Jackie asked me to try...
I'm 51, a man, and I tried the sweet potato to make her happy...
The flavor worked for me...
But it was 'mooshy'... a quality I would seek to avoid in the future...
Mushy?
Either way...
6 years ago, I walked into a health food store in Webster Groves, MO near St. Louis where I was working at the time, and bought a bag of sweet potato 'chips'...
I liked them and went back for other bags...
But no actual potato...
Now I can say with self respect that I did, indeed try the tater... and I know why I wasn't fond of it...
Does anyone know of a firmer potato, similar to a regular non-sweet potato?
I'm still open-minded and willing to try again...
