When do ya stop?

The tinkerbug hit me shortly after I got my 1st banjo (Epiphone MB 250) a couple months ago. The only component I've actually changed are the strings, everything else has been mechanical adjustments. I recently tightened the head a little more (I've been doing this gradually for a few weeks), re-routed my strings over/under the tailpiece as suggested by others, temporarily eliminated the buzz I was getting by placing paper strips in the nut slots (until I install a new nut), and rechecked intonation. I think I'm a lucky newbie, as it just keeps sounding better & better (to my ear anyway) !  Should I quit while I'm ahead, or is the qwest for that "perfect" sound a neverending side effect of my addiction called banjo? It is my understanding through research on this addiction enabling website, that the next experimental stage will be bridges. Any thoughts/suggestions?
