OK, so I have been living in the past for many years now and am finally down to my last old National white thumbpick that I had stashed away like a fine old bottle of scotch. I've tried the new ones which absolutely suck, tried Golden Gates, Dunlops, others and NONE give me the tone and clarity that the old Nationals had. I'm not ready to spend $45 on a BlueChip unless I can try one out first either. You old-timers know what I'm talking about. Is there any new plastic thumbpick out there today that even comes close to the old Nationals? Are the Dunlop Calico's any good? Just looking for some advice from some seasoned veterans who grew up with the old Nationals.
