Hello all! I'm not new to banjo playing. This is a cool site. But I would like some advice and stew-mac pointed me to here. I did do a search for specs both on here and the net came up with nothing. I was given a banjo it has a GT neck and a Japanese pot and resonator on it. it also has a GT tailpiece and head. So either someone tried to fix a GT banjo or convert one to a GT. This is what I would like to do. Buy a rim from stew-mac and make it fit the GT neck. Does anyone one have the rim specs for a GT banjo. I need the rim ID, thickness, height, and Where to drill the L-shoe bracket holes how far from the bottom of the rim. I just want to fix this and give it to a kid in church. I don't own a banjo with L-shoe brackets so I cann't get any measurements and the local music shop in De won't let me measure there GT. Then if anyone wants the cast alum pot and resonator and a wood rim I will give it to them for the cost of postage.
