I know I.m and extra class ham and should know this but could use some help here. I don't remember or haven't learned squat yet.
I have programs to listen to code and copy which i have to practice.
But I was given a Vibroplex iambic keyer by a 96 year old ham operator friend in WV. K8TPF Bill Godwin [what a great man]. He doesn't get on he radio any more but worked traffic for many years after learning code as a radio operator in the south Pacific during WWII. Bill got me back into cw when I had almost given up.
I have watched a few videos on YouTube about using the iambic and they took my fright away, I can learn to use this thing!
But want to practice through the sound card before I'll get back on the radio. This keyer has a 9 volt
And low and behold i even found a virtual ham radio online I can subscribe for [30 C with this coming out the middle lol = what ever that is in English, pounds maybe Euros?, I haven't checked], to if i can't get another antenna up and working.
Just wondered if anyone knew a way. This keyer apparently has an oscillator built in, I never use one like this it has a 9V battery connected to it.
I know a lot of dumb questions from and ham operator but that's the way most of us learned, me at least. ;)
Thanks for any help
