Hey All,
Over the weekend the head of my banjo was loosened due to heat or humidity, not really sure. I tightened it back up and everything sounds back to normal besides the 4th string. I have a Sullivan Festival Deluxe and it had a really strong 4th string "growl." It was as if you could feel it it was so powerful and growly. Another way to describe it would be that it almost sounded electric. Now it makes more of a "bong" sound.
I've heard there are things you can do to bring out that strong 4th string sound. Other than loosening and tightening the head, is there anything else I can adjust to try to get that sound back?
Thanks!
Spencer
