Earlier today, I did a trade with a fellow hangout member. He got my spiffy new 30s Granada neck, and I got a pair of Gibson conversion necks and a matching resonator for one of them. These will be in transit tomorrow. I've dealt extensively with this member and can tell you that his word is the gold standard, so if he says they'll be on the truck tomorrow, you can take that to the bank.
Here's what's coming....
1 curly maple Florentine special by Arthur Hatfield that was sent here to be "wyatt'd up" which involved removing the finish, tweaking the profile and handstop/heel junctions, softening the headstock edges, and applying a new finish. As I recall, it has a rosewood fretboard.
1 neck and resonator set that I did from factory fretboard and headstock overlay from First Quality. The neck has an original Gibson "custom shop" rub on decal on the reverse of the peghead. It's a double cut headstock, and from my recollection ... it has an ebony fretboard. It is also a Florentine Special, and is mahogany. The matching Gill resonator I believe has concentric rings, but it's been awhile since I did this one, so my memory may be faulty.
If you can use either of these, get ahold of me and we can discuss it. Both of these necks say Gibson on them....neither my name nor Arthur's name appear on them. I'll definitely be kinder with the price on the Hatfield redux than the custom shop set that I did ... but I'll make you a sweet deal on all 3 pieces.
I might even do a trade involving cash and ???
Of course ... I'd be dumb not to tell you that the real bargain is my "Dark Chocolate" neck in the classifieds ... a new neck at $950 with 5 new 5 star pegs. You just need to get over the Gibson name not being on the neck to enjoy the savings. It's much tastier than a Gibson neck anyway.
