I've been from Maine to Spain, East to Grease, Two World Fairs, and Three Good Hog Rootings, but this is a new one on me.
A fellow hangout member has a wood rim with a wood tone ring listed in the classified section, and it says,"
| Payment Option Notes: | $100.00 or Best Offer" |
I sent him my best offer, which was below the $100 for sale price, and received back an email stating he would take $125 + Shipping.
I sent him back an email saying that was higher than his price on the ad, and he returned an email saying he already had an offer of $100, but was wanting higher offers.
He stated in his email, "
I hear what you are saying, but BHO doesnt have a reserve listing like ebay.
Its not too compicated my friend. If you think it is worth more than you can offer more if not thats ok."
Looks to me like if he wants to Auction it off to the highest bidder, like on Ebay, but do it here on the hangout where the selling cost are cheaper. If I were the one that made the $100 offer, I think I would want the rim sent to me, as it says, $100 or best offer.
Am I looking at it the wrong way, or is this member trying to have his cake, and eat it too?
