Helix Hurricane Bluegrass Banjo For Sale

I have 2 HeliX Professional Grade Banjos and I need to part with one to pay for some other projects.

 

This is a curly maple Helix Hurricane rim and a custom flame maple HeliX neck made by Chris Scott. And flame maple resonator.

 

This started out as Helix Hurricane #4 the first banjo Larry ever sold, it is now #7 which is just the rim number. Because the first rim had a defect and had to be replaced. 

This Banjo has been a test bed for many experiments that Larry and I wanted to try out. It has a resonator attached with magnets, was the first helix banjo with the turtle inlay and HeliX inlaid in the neck also the first with the HeliX shaped peghead.

All nickle hardware, Gotoh tuners! Price tail Piece! Gibson style shoes, hooks, tension hoop, and arm rest.

It is a bracket shoe banjo with a tone hoop which makes it nice and light and it has that HeliX voice and volume! Also a bluegrass resonator banjo which is kind of rare for a HeliX!

This banjo has barley been played and is like new. The only Helix that is nicer than this one is my Chestnut Monarch!

 

If you want to try a Helix this is the one there are hardly ever any used ones that come up for sale.
