I picked up a Banjomando, Mandolin-Banjo, Banjoline, or whatever you wanna call it at, at a local antique shop yesterday. It's nothing crazy, looks like a Oscar-Schmidt from the 20's. I have no delusions that it's something special but for $60 I couldn't pass it up. If nothing else just to mess around with trying to restore. It does have a neat looking skin on it though. I was curious if any of you guys knew what it's about. It has the face of some flapper chick on it, maybe an actress of the day? Do you think I should bother keeping the skin on it or swapping it out for a modern day one?
