Over Christmas holiday, I had noticed a period of some blurred vision and an unquenchable thirst, so had some tests run that turned out to be diabetes. Since my Type II Diabetes diagnoses in late January, I have completely changed my diet and began getting a lot more active (walk to work everyday and hitting the gym 5 days a week). Now it's been about 10 weeks and I have lost 30lbs! I feel great and my glucose number has dropped from 20 to 6. I wear clothes I haven't fit into in 5 years (yeah, they're out of style now LOL but i still wear them). Beyond the rediscovered wardrobe, the loss of weight now allows me to easily see my fretboard while picking!! While the initial diagnoses was shocking, I now see it as a blessing to motivate a positive change. I'm sure others in the BHO community are struggling with this, so I thought I would share the early stages of my journey so far.
