sharp or flat?

ok so ive take a leap and ive started learning the notes on the neck. but i've come across something i cant seem to find and answer for.
on the page in my book showing the notes on the neck they have written it out like G G# A Bb B then C C# D Eb E witch is confusing me because i use A# and D# so have i learnt it wrong of is there a reason for this?
