The seller says the copy is original and in good condition. He also says:
"This is the April, 1888 issue of S. S. Stewart's Banjo and Guitar Journal. It is 16 pages plus covers and measures about 9" x 11". It is in excellent condition for its age, unlike most Stewart Journals which have deteriorated. Not this on though, it has survived very nicely. Advertising, articles (including one involving a patent dispute Stewart had with Fairbanks & Cole!) This is the last and probably the best one of these Stewart journals I have collected over the years."
