Hello folks,
I have been a long time fan of Gordon's music, and this one is my favorite of all the songs in his repertoire. It's neat how "Wreck" is in the key of B, (the what I call the "home chord", is an Asus2 chord, and instead of capoing @ the 4th, you capo at the 2nd fret), and it's also in 6/8 time.
"Wreck" also has a very simple, yet a haunting and eerie chord progression:
Asus2 Em
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
G D Asus2
Of the big lake they call "Gitchee Gumee"
And for the most part of the tune, those are the only chords, and they repeat in that order.
