Howdy boys, This is my First post here, and I don't want it to be the last. Thanks firstly for having me on!
I got a Baritone Banjo needing a set of strings here. Yup, pretty sure she's a baritone and not anything else.
To be as brief as possible (because I DO ramble and carry on without making too much of a point as you may discover if I post here more!) I can't get a set of strings for this thing. It has no name on it, But the cover of the truss-rod lettering dates it to mid 1950's or early 60's. (sorry no picture yet)
It's too long to fit tenor Banjo strings, the neck measures in at about 44".
and from what I can tell it's next to impossible to get the right strings without going "custom" order on it.
From what I can tell, no one stocks a set of 5-string baritone banjo strings. I'm starting to doubt that such a thing still exists.
I'm gettin to the point where I'm fed up getting no response from retailers of online banjo strings..no one has been any help so far, except to tell me I'm a hopeless lost cause!!!
This thing is AWESOME to play even if it's just a cheap relic. I think it's a pretty RARE banjo just the same, quality aside.
hasn't had a new set of stings since EVER. I'd kind of like to change that (no pun intended!)
you fellers could point me out something, I'd be much appreciated!
