I have seen photos/vids of several noted pickers; Mr Scruggs for instance, playing (rt handed) with banjos just slung over the right shoulder, rather than behind the back and over the left shoulder. I have tried this, but find it seriously awkward. Of course, without changing the length of the strap, this positions the banjo lower than usual as well, which adds to the problem, but I was just wondering .... how do most pickers sling their banjo, and where do you recommend it to hang, height wise, for best picking and fingering angle??
