I have a 5 sting Encore banjo and have replaced a tuner screw only to realize that the original fell out because the tuner screw hole was stripped. There are four good tuners here. I've just purchased Bill Keith med/light banjo strings to replace old broken ones and a Grover bridge to replace a bridge that was missing. I look forward to putting both on this banjo but hate the thought of having to pay to replace four good tuners and possibly having pay to have new holes bored in the head for those tuners. Is there a way to shore up that weak screw hole. I'm not sure it would be be a good idea to restring at this point. I would appreciate any suggestions at this point.
