Hi all,
Sorry if this is a repeat question (I did do a forum search though). Last year, I built my first banjo from a kit. I did not position the 5th string pip very well, however (it's not close enough to the edge of the neck). It's a bone pip and I super-glued it in place.
So, I need to find some way to remove the old pip, fill the hole, re-drill, and set a new pip. What's frustrating is that the current pip is just 1/32nd or so from it's ideal spot.
Any suggestions? Should I drill the old pip out? Try super-glue remover? If anyone's done this before, I sure would appreciate the advice.
Thanks!
Booger
