I've listened to Pete Seegers "The Water is Wide" on Youtube and I've never heard the following words he sings in any version of this haunting song. At minute 4:10 he sings:
The seagulls wheel, then turn and dive
Some of them stand beside the sea.
This world we know turns round and round
And all of them and you and me.
Can someone( I'm sure there are lots of romantics out there ) give me what you think is the meaning of these 4 lines. Here's hoping I get some really profound answers.
