I have an RK Scout that I have had for a few years now. Yesterday I decided to tighten the head a little as that has not been done in a few years. So I used that fellows method of using the 10" straight edge and a coin. I basically only tightened it 1/4 turn on each lug. So not a lot. Anyway I noticed that the string height at the high end is a little taller now. Well more head tension, bridge doesn't sag as much so that is normal. While I was looking this over I noticed that my neck has a curve to it. When I put a straight edge against the neck from the nut to the pot you can see a noticeable dip in the neck. Around the 7th and 8th fret the difference from the straight edge is about the depth of the fret at that location. Is this normal? Shouldn't the neck stay straight?
Thanks for you insights.
