OK. There's this banjo, which I suspect is a steal. Here's what I know:
It has a Vega Little Wonder pot and tone ring. The neck is not original. The pot's serial # indicates it was made in the late 20's. Pot looks to be natural colored maple (no stain, or very light), though I haven't inspected it personally. Assuming the neck is nothing special and that the main value is in the pot/tone ring, what is the least you would expect this banjo to be worth?
I know this is a completely unfair question, there's far too little info here, etc. I'm just curious what people think, because I don't know much about early 20th century instruments.
