I am wondering if anyone out there has built a thin skirt block rim for an srchtop?
I have an older Goldstar Archtop [G12] and am looking to switch out the 11 ply stock rim, i would rather have a nice cox in there but here in the UK its just too prohibitive in terms of time, trouble and money. So i'm looking at a hard rock maple block rim and i'm looking for thoughts on thin skirting it.
Any thoughts and experience welcome.
