Playing standing up

Hi everyone. One mistake I've made in my banjo experience, is practicing while sitting down (for the most part). I started making it a part of my regular practice, to include playing while standing up. Maybe it's just me, but playing the banjo while standing up, is very difficult. And I dont think it's so much that I've done most of my playing while seated, but think a lot of my difficulty has to do with "banjo placement" (I made that phrase up). When I stand up, my banjo seems to be in a very strange position. It kinda of hangs to my right side, plus tends to lean/point towards the ground. Because it points towards the ground, I cant see the face of my banjo, or the fret board. Now, most of you might think the reason it leans towards the ground, is my stomach area may be a little big! But actually, I don't have a big stomach area. When I play standing up, I'm actually playing, WHILE trying to keep my banjo in the middle, AND keeping it cocked more towards my face, so I can occasionally look down and see my picking hand and my fretting hand. Can someone tell me the correct way a banjo is supposed to hang, and what kinds of adjustments I can make to correct it? I have just a regular leather strap where the ends just tie onto the banjo, and I'm pretty sure I have the ends tied to the correct positions (although I could be wrong). Playing standing up is frustrating me and feels extremely uncomfortable and wrong. Please help
